Echolocation Diary | Mark McKain

MARk McKain

A collage of torn printed fragments related to bats, contrasting pixelated and crisply digitally printed abstract forms; color scientific illustrations; and black and white photos and soundwave graphs.

Mark McKain’s visual poetry and collages have appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, Gulf Stream Magazine, Action, Spectacle, and petrichor. His work has been exhibited at the 92NY Art Center in New York City. He synthesizes photography, found objects, painting, multimedia collage, and text to explore the geology of memory and the territory between the living and the nonliving, questioning this boundary. He lives, teaches, creates, and experiences global warming in St. Petersburg, Florida.
