Wild Forest

I document my personal growth towards maturity. The imagery in the work I'm making was either flashback of memories or dreams I used to have before when I was a child. While using the form of illustration allows me to present the ideas of all these boundless creative worlds to the audience. During the creation process, it gives me a chance to recall and reexamine my childhood experiences. By doing so, I learned from what I have lost, and be grateful for what I have gained. Art helps me to detect my own issues and to overcome them in order to come of age. I seek the ability to assume obligations and responsibility in facing the overwhelming reality of society’s brutality. Art returns to me the elusive, naive, carefree memories of childhood, and helps to define happiness in the simplest way. Art provides a positive position from which to look for joyful moments. Being vulnerable and looking back allows me to embrace myself and make meaningful connections with others.
