Tanya Rastogi

My work covers a wide range of subjects, the most common of which is South Asian culture. I try to depict all of its nuances and angles--my family's connection with Hinduism, our struggles as immigrants, etc. Typically, my pieces are nostalgic and reminiscent of some childhood memory of India. Other times they reflect my emotions regarding the current state of India/the South Asian diaspora in the West.

Tanya Rastogi is a sophomore attending Pleasant Valley High School in Iowa. Her work is forthcoming in The Lumiere Review and Kalopsia Lit.
