ORP: What’s your least favorite word?
AH: “Moist.” Ugh. Just writing it makes my lips curl and nostrils flair like someone farted.

ORP: How has your writing or art changed over time?
AH: It’s become more in-scene, a bit more intimate, a bit less cautious.

ORP: How does writing or making art change you?
AH: It grants me transient hope, like filling a cup with a small hole in it.

ORP: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
AH: Me: I’m an idiot. Long lost friend: A person should never unconstructively disparage themselves. Me: Dammit, you’re right. I’m awesome! Long lost friend: Let’s not get ahead of ourselves; a person should know their limits.

Andrew Hinshaw resides in the Midwest due to a series of questionable decisions. Once a DJ and dog food factory lineman, he now works in a field more suited to his background in psychology. He spends his time looking stoic in photos and participating in online workshops (hosted by author and instructor Seth Harwood).
